Terms and Conditions

Definitions:

"Cityline" refers to Cityline (Hong Kong) Limited
"Application" refers to the software application that is provided by Cityline for purchasing tickets using a mobile handset
"Customer" refers to the purchaser of tickets using the Application on a mobile handset
"Content" refers to all the movie information that is posted on Cityline's mobile site by the cinema
  1. One-person-one-ticket One person per ticket. Children over 1 metre tall must hold valid tickets.
  2. Members & Non-Members Purchase Ticketing services provided by the Application is available to both Cityline members and non-members. For non-member purchase, please input your email address for the purpose of receiving the confirmation email. For member purchase, the confirmation email will be sent to the member's email address registered at Cityline.
  3. Payment The Application only accepts payment by credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club). Under no circumstances will unpaid reservations of tickets be accepted.
  4. Service Charges Please refer to www.cityline.com for a list of current service charges for Cityline's ticketing services. Cityline reserves the right to change the service charges without prior notice. All service charges collected are non-refundable.
  5. Number of Tickets Each purchase is limited to a maximum of 9 movie tickets; and each credit card can only purchase a maximum of 12 movie tickets within 3 days.
  6. Time Limit After Customers select the seats, payment should be completed within 15 minutes. Otherwise, the transaction will be cancelled and all the selected seats will be made available to other ticket purchasers.
  7. Sold Tickets Tickets sold are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  8. Confirmation Email Confirmation email for ticket purchase will be sent to Cityline members’ email address registered at Cityline; or to the designated email address provided by non-members, as a reference of successful transaction. Cityline will not be responsible for any delayed or undelivered emails due to the submission of incorrect email addresses by Customers, or due to issues that are out of Cityline's control (such as problems caused by Internet, email service providers, etc.).
  9. Ticket Collection Customers shall collect the booked movie tickets by swiping the credit card (the one used for the transaction) at any Cityline's ticket dispensing machine located in the cinemas (at no extra charge).
  10. Ticket Discounts Ticket Discounts The Application now offers the following ticket discounts:
    1. BEA Credit Cardholders and holders of related affinity / co-branded cards can enjoy 10% discount on UA movie tickets (while BEA World MasterCard holders can enjoy 30% discount). (This discount offer is not applicable to digital 3D movies and movies with special engagements with film distributors as determined by UA Cinemas and Cityline).
    2. UA LOYALTY CLUB Regular & Star Members' discounts
    3. Concessionary UA movie tickets for student/child and elderly

  11. Admission to Category III Films To comply with the Film Censorship Ordinance, the venue management will refuse admission by persons under the age of 18 to any screening of Category III films. Ticket holders may be required to show proof of age on demand by the venue management. All tickets sold are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  12. Booking Details on Tickets Each ticket is only valid for the date and time of the programme that is printed on it. A ticket holder may be refused admission if any details on the ticket have been omitted or altered or if the ticket is damaged, defaced, or otherwise mutilated.
  13. House Rules All tickets are sold subject to the following house rules of the cinemas:

    1. Student tickets are for full-time students in Hong Kong. Students must present valid student ID card before admission to the house.
    2. Child tickets are for children aged 11 or below. Children over 1 metre tall must hold valid tickets. Children must present the proof of age before admission to the house.
    3. Senior tickets are for seniors aged 60 years old or above. Seniors must present the proof of age before admission to the house.
    4. Concessionary price for students, children, and seniors is not applicable to UA Director’s Club ,UA iSQUARE Phoenix and UA IMAX cinemas. Patrons at any age must hold valid tickets at these cinemas.
    5. Due to the request from film distributors, ticket prices are subject to change without prior notice.
    6. For 3D movies, please bring your own RealD 3D glasses. Audience without bringing RealD 3D Glasses shall purchase a new pair of RealD 3D glasses at cinema box office/ kiosk/ ticket check point for HK$6 each. For IMAX version, the glasses will be provided by the cinema.
    7. No outside food and drinks allowed.
    8. No smoking allowed.
    9. No pets allowed.
    10. Photo taking, audio/video recording strictly prohibited.
    11. All cinemas remain open during all Typhoon Signals and Black Rainstorm Warning.

  14. Intended Use This Application is intended to be used in mobile handsets with any one of the following micro browsers (with cookies and Javascript enabled): Internet Explorer Mobile 6.0 or 6.1, iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, Opera Mobile 9.5 (or above). Cityline does not accept any responsibility if the Application fails to work in mobile handsets with micro browsers not in the above list. Please refer to Cityline website (www.cityline.com) for the most updated information about the list of supported micro browsers.
  15. Disclaimer All the Content is the sole responsibility of the cinemas from which such Content originated. This means that the cinema, and not Cityline, is entirely responsible for the Content that it posts in Cityline's mobile site. Cityline does not control the Content posted by the cinema and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. Under no circumstances will Cityline be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, e-mailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via Cityline's mobile site.
  16. Discrepancy The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
